Sagittarius A* is the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way galaxy. Its discovery sparked many theories and questions among astronomers as to how the Milky Way was really created and what role supermassive black holes play at influencing the process of evolution of galaxies. Sagittarius A* is compared with the black hole at the center of M87 and the ultramassive black hole TON 618.
