독일 함부르크서 유로2024 경기 앞두고 손도끼 위협 경찰 실탄으로 제압
Moving over to Germany, a man with a pickaxe who threatened police officers in the city of Hamburg, was shot down by police on Sunday.
Police have reported that he is now receiving medical attention.
A Hamburg police spokesperson confirmed that the suspect was armed with a pickaxe and also tried to ignite a petrol bomb, before being pepper sprayed and shot.
While local media reported the incident took place near the Euro 2024 tournament fan zone for supporters of the Dutch football team, a Hamburg police spokesperson stressed that they are assuming it to be "an isolated case, which means it is not football-related."
