It's a good idea to dress in light and loose clothing, grab your sunglasses, pack plenty of extra water and to make plans to stay indoors as much as you can as you get ready to take on your Friday. Sunny skies, very dry conditions and dangerous heat are all on the way for the end of your work week. Dangerous heat will persist into your weekend, but partly cloudy skies and the threat of mountain showers and thunderstorm activity will be on tap for the afternoon and evening hours both days this weekend. Temperatures will finally slide back down closer to average from Sunday through the middle of next week.
