Today marks exactly two years since the murder of whistleblower Babita Deokaran. The senior Gauteng health official was gunned down outside her home, south of Johannesburg, in August 2021. To honour her memory, the Ahmed Kathrada Foundation, supported by the Whistleblower House and other civil society groups, will today hold a memorial and tribute event at Christ the King in Joburg.
