The quickest way to clean the QuickDraw is the shake-to-clean method. Simply shake your system with a half-full dirty bottle or reservoir attached to the filter’s dirty side to dislodge particulates stuck to the hollow fibers. A more thorough way to clean the QuickDraw is via backflushing. This involves inverting your system and flushing clean water through the hollow fiber bundle from the clean side to the dirty side to remove particulates clogging the filter. Any clean bottle or reservoir that is compatible with a QuickDraw system can be used to backflush it.
Many squeeze filters start fast but ultimately slow down and never recover their initial fast flow rates. Not the QuickDraw. We designed it to deliver the best user experience of any backpacking water filter, and that meant the ability to easily clean it and keep it flowing for a long time.
