Why does the FBI recruit computer scientists? Why are these folks also in demand in the DEA and other agencies? Encryption has become so advanced as to be unbreakable by law enforcement. Operation Trojan Shield involved the development of an encryption app by the FBI which was then placed on phones sold to criminals worldwide. The messages were read by law enforcement and the take down occurred a few days ago.
