As we know in UX everything surrounds around User, so to know more about user behavior and thought process creating Empathy is the first step before we create the actual User Personas.

Definition: An empathy map is a Complete visualization what we know about a particular type of user. It helps us to know about user needs and behavior.
Empathy maps are split into 4 quadrants (Says, Thinks, Does, and Feels), with the user or persona in the middle.

Benefits of creating an Empathy Map in initial stage of design:
• Discover weaknesses in our research
• Uncover user needs that the user themselves may not even be aware of
• Understand what drives users’ behaviors
