Because let's be honest, regular and non-complicated chord progressions can be very satisfying. The only thing is that sometimes you need them to have a bit more character, tension and colour.

In this short songwriting technique / composition technique tutorial I will show you the easy technique of using an upper pedal note or ostinato note. No long talks and no complicated music theory. We dive straight in!
