13.13 per cent voter turnout has been recorded in the Garo Hills Autonomous District Council polls that is underway in the Garo Hills region of Meghalaya. The turnout is significant considering the fact that several pressure groups had called for a bandh on polling day opposing participation of non-tribals in the council election process.
