Failing to timely pay EZ Pass creates a huge problem. The tolling authorities (MTA / Port Authority / NYS Thruway Authority) will come after you with vengeance. They They charge between $50.00 - $100.00 as a violation for an unpaid toll, will send you to collections, ding your credit score, suspend your vehicle's registration, and sue you to collect the money. The Port Authority of NY and NJ is particularly difficult to deal with. However, I have been successful in representing people under this oppression and (1) preventing registration suspensions or, if they are suspended having the suspension lifted, (1) reducing the violations owed by up to 80% which has resulted in savings to clients of tens of thousands of dollars, (3) getting people on payment plans, (4) preventing expensive lawsuits, and (5) figuring out what the problem was and fixing it so that it does not happen going forward.
