There are a lot of different ways that you can learn Latin, but here's what they all have in common.
First, you need to have the desire and the motivation.
Second, you need other people. You can’t teach yourself. You need to be taught by someone. That “someone” could be in the form of a book, or a video.
You also need to think through whether you want to read Latin or speak it, too. Depending on your goals, your method of instruction will be different.
If you want to speak Latin, you’ll need to find conversation partners—teachers, groups, and events where you can speak and practice Latin. You’ll need to listen to podcasts. You need to surround yourself with other people who want to do the same thing.
If you want to read Latin, you have lots of opportunities to learn. I highly encourage you to take a look at the Basics of Latin Video Series, along with the grammar that accompanies it. It will enable you to read and write in Latin, and you’ll be able to work with classical texts written in Latin.
