HPV virus otherwise known as human papilloma virus is a collection of viruses . These viruses, certain strains of them can transform the cells of the cervix to abnormal cells. These changes can take more than 10 years because they are initially detected with precancerous stages only at the age of 20 to 30, whereas they are conformed with the diagnosis of the tumor only at the age of 50 plus. So the HPV can take more than a few decades to be actually be visible into a tumor. Once it is cleared, HPV can come back, the reason being it is a group of strains, once affected with a particular strain and being treated for one particular strain does not ensure that it may not come back and become vigilant with other trains. The recurrence rate is supposed to be more than 90% more than years but the recurrence rate once affected with lower immunity status motile partners, increased smoking it can come back vigilantly even within 2 to 3 years.
