If you told me some time ago that one day one of my favorite videos on my channel would be a Diablos run, I wouldn't have believed you.
But it's true, and it's there.
First thing is the fact that it is very satisfying to use Hammer against Diablos. World and Iceborne were the only games in the series where Diablos' head was a real weakpoint to blunt damage (it is in Rise as well, but it is protected by a worse Horns hitzone)
Second is the fact that Diablos seems, to me, overall more interesting in Iceborne's Master Rank. Its moveset is still pathetically small and is a little better in Sunbreak but I like the way it chains it together in Iceborne more. Interestingly, simply walking away to avoid the dig attack is not possible in Iceborne, but it is in Rise and Sunbreak, so I have to roll everytime in this run.
Lastly, I want to talk about sound design. Monsters roars and noises are much louder in Iceborne, which is an issue I have with Rise and Sunbreak. Monsters are incredibly silent in those games due to bad audio mixing.
Diablos also has much better sound design in World and Iceborne. A lot of amazing noises were lost in the transition from Iceborne to Rise. I love the bull noises Diablos makes in this game such as the loud bellow at 1:51. And the sound Diablos makes when it gets angry at 3:05 almost sounds like steam coming out of a bull's wet snout.
I hope you'll enjoy this run as much as I enjoyed recording it.
