But to see the community, the multiple communities back here again, it just helped me fall in love with the whole convention culture all over again, making me realize that it wasn't really fading, it was just, you know, it was just missing that spark, you know? And it's back. It's very much wonderful."

Thankfully I was able to buy this costume, but for the previous ones this weekend, I was sewing my entire month before this. And then also some foam smithing. So, this is all foam."

COSPLAY FANS REJOICE AS NEW YORK COMIC CON RETURNS TO NORMAL
On Friday, fans in costume expressed joy that New York Comic Con is back to full capacity after the pandemic.
Cosplayers were dressed to the nines as they crowded the Javits Center to capacity to celebrate their favorite characters.
An estimated 200,000 people are expected for the four-day event, up 50,000 from last year.
Matt Batquez, who made his 10th appearance as Batman at the event, says it's great to see old friends again.
"I'm a seasoned veteran. I've been doing this for a long time, so I already know what to expect. But the friends I've made over the years, that's what I'm here for. I'm here to see people I haven't seen since COVID started."
Jonathon Arnau came dressed as Pantherpool - a combination of Black Panther and Deadpool.
But all that work is not cheap.
