Today I finish installing the stainless steel replacement fuel couplings / fittings on my 2003 Triumph Speed Four and take care of some other things. This repair was a real time consuming pain in the ass. The old plastic fittings need milled out with a dremel, then the remainder picked out with a hook tool. The remaining adhesive must be cleaned with a tap. All at the same time the entire fuel pump assembly needs dropped out of the tank. Not difficult, but it takes a long time. I finished up the repair and put on some other items I had been meaning to install on Ginger (new plugs, new K&N filter, some carbon fiber trim, etc..). I had just enough time before some bad thunderstorms to ride some shake down miles. I am hoping that I have caught up on most of the worst maintenance issues. At least the Speedy is back on the road.
Cheers!
Mike
