A reenactment video of a large flame erupting from a kerosene heater due to the careless misuse of gasoline
[Explanation of the video]
This video reenacts the series of events leading up to the fire of a kerosene heater caused by the misuse of gasoline. The heat of the kerosene heater's combustion chamber heats up gasoline mistakenly filled in the tank. Since gasoline is highly volatile, the heated gasoline in the tank evaporates and pushes up the inner pressure of the tank, which in turn causes the gasoline to overflow from the tank. The spilled gasoline catches fire from the flame of the heater. Gasoline should never be used as the fuel of heaters. If there is any compelling reason to store gasoline, a specifically designed portable tank for gasoline must be used according to the Fire Service Act. Never use a plastic tank. Especially, visually impaired persons including the elderly must use extra caution since it may be difficult for those people to distinguish gasoline from kerosene.
The experiment is performed by experts. It is very dangerous and never try to do this.
