This episode sees us leave the sleepy enclave of Preixens and head to the lovely city of Pamplona via a stopover in Jaca a city nestling in the Pyrenees very close to France.Our hotel was a decent walk from the old town in Jaca and an uphill hike on the way back! The weather was again beautiful staying in the high 20s. We'd stayed in Pamplona in the exact same hotel 4 years ago when we did our first trip to The Picos and were keen to see if anything had changed. We really liked Pamplona the first time and we weren't disappointed on this visit. The hotel was located a short walk from toehold town which is famous for its annual bull run - a highly dangerous activity were the general public and several huge bulls race through the narrow streets to the bull ring. My son Nick took part a few years ago but I don't think it is something you want to repeat!
