This is a HD video shot at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, March 2012. Audio is going through a Neve 96 channel analog console with Pro Tools 10, using Sennheiser 421 mics. Soldano cabinet is 16 ohms using 2 stock Eminence V12 Legends in an X pattern with 2 Electro Voice EVM12L 300 watt Zakk Wylde speakers. The Diamond cabinet uses 8 ohm Celestion Vintage 30's, and the Splawn cabinet uses Eminence Big and Small Blocks at 16 ohms. These are essentially Splawn's version of a V30 and G12H30 but with higher power ratings.
As the owner of Blues City Music, I'm called upon to do amp and guitar demos at various universities for their audio/engineering and school of music students. This demo showcases Soldano, Diamond, and Splawn 50 and 100 watt, all USA hand made, all tube guitar amplifiers. I'm running Soldano SLO-100's, Lucky 13, Avenger; Diamond Spitfire II, Phantom, Nitrox, and Spec Op, and Splawn Quick Rod, Nitro. Only effect used is a Soldano Surf Box which has reverb, vibrato, and tremolo. I use it on the red SLO-100 only.
Switching is done via a custom one off Bob Bradshaw 8 amp switcher. It is the only one in existence. For the Splawns, I use a Tone Bone Head Bone to switch into one cabinet.
