Matilda De Angelis (The Undoing) is interviewed for the new Amazon Prime Video series Leonardo, based on the life and loves of Leonardo Da Vinci. Poldarks' Aidan Turner stars as the artist, with De Angelis as his muse and model Caterina da Cremona. The series also stars Carlos Cuevas, Freddie Highmore, Mattia Napoli, James D'Arcy and Gabriel Lo Giudice. Our interviewer is Stefan Pape.
Plot: LEONARDO explores the life of one of the most restlessly brilliant men of all time, showing the drama behind his art, and exploring a tantalizing mystery left unexplained by biographers – the nature of his relationship with the model Caterina da Cremona. Caterina’s apparent murder – and the disappearance of one of Da Vinci’s greatest creations – make for a mystery full of twists and turns that takes us through the key years of Leonardo’s artistic life, revealing the remarkable stories behind some of his most iconic masterpieces, including the Mona Lisa and The Last Supper.
Amazon Prime Video will launch their new TV series LEONARDO on 16th April, 2021.
