(28 Oct 2013) Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj met with North Korea's Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Yong Nam in Pyongyang on Monday.
The Mongolian President's website said on Monday that Elbegdorj will discuss bilateral and regional affairs in North Korea "with DPRK leaders and other high-level government officials."
North Korean ministers of foreign affairs, trade, industry and agriculture were present at the talks on Monday which took place at Pyongyang's Mansudae Assembly Hall.
The two sides signed three cooperation agreements - industry and agriculture; sports, culture and tourism; and information technology.
Foreign media have speculated that the Mongolian President may become the first foreign head of state to officially meet the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un since he took over following the death of his father, Kim Jong Il, in December 2011.
