Marmite Chicken @drchintalskitchen
Friday Fake-away is a super easy recipe with only a handful of ingredients - Did you guess the secret ingredient in this dish?
We used to live near this amazing restaurant that made this incredible dish & it was always my children’s favourite thing to order. I wasn’t so sure until I tried it but when I did - I LOVED IT! So when we moved home I was super excited when I managed to recreate it.
🌱 Vegan? This works so well with tofu too
Hope you can try it
Happy Friday 🥳

Recipe:
Recipe:
600gms chicken thighs
4 tablespoons corn flour
2 tablespoons soy sauce
Oil to fry
Sticky sauce:
1 tablespoon marmite
2 tsp minced garlic (about 6 cloves)
3 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons soy sauce
1️⃣ Chop the chicken into chunks & place in a bowl
2️⃣ Pour 2 tablespoons soy sauce over the chicken, mix well then sprinkle on the corn flour. Use your hands to fully coat the chicken in the cornflour
3️⃣ Pan fry the chicken in a little oil until it’s golden and crispy and cooked through. This will take a few minutes, keep stirring so it’s cooked all the way and has a crispy coating. Set aside to drain on kitchen paper
4️⃣ Next mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl
5️⃣ Place the chicken back into a clean frying pan
6️⃣Pour the sauce over & keep stirring on a high heat until the sauce thickens up and starts bubbling - this only takes a minute or 2
7️⃣ Serve right away with rice and veggies and a sprinkle of chopped spring onions, sesame seeds & chilli 🌶️
