[ Ссылка ] Allegations that a former top official at the Vatican, Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano was transferred against his will to Washington after whistleblowing on corruption have been denied by the Holy See.
The story came to light after letters written by Vigano were published. In them, Vigano complained of a web of corruption, nepotism, and cronyism linked to the awarding of contracts to outside companies at inflated prices.
Vigano is said to have alerted his superiors including Pope Benedict.
