کانال قوش تپه یکی از بزرگترین کانالهای انتقال آب افغانستان و منطقه است که از ولسوالی (بخشداری) کلدار در ولایت (استان) بلخ شروع شده و آب رود آمودریا را به طول ۲۸۵ کیلومتر با پهنا و عرض ۱۰۸ متر و عمق ۸٫۵ متر تا ولسوالی اندخوی استان فاریاب منتقل خواهد کرد. این کانال در هر ثانیه توانایی انتقال ۶۵۰ متر مکعب آب را دارد که طبق طرح قرار است ۵۵۰ هزار هکتار زمین کشاورزی را در طول مسیر آبیاری کند
The Ghosh Tepe canal is one of the largest water transfer canals in Afghanistan and the region, which starts from Kaldar district in Balkh province and carries the water of the Amu Darya river for a length of 285 km with a width of 108 meters and a depth of 8.5 meters. Andkhoi district of Faryab province will be transferred. This canal has the ability to transfer 650 cubic meters of water per second, which according to the plan is supposed to irrigate 550 thousand hectares of agricultural land along the way
