We mix 100% silicone with Mineral Spirits to create a paintable layer to stick substrate to the sprayfoam background. We create a naturalistic look and have lots of fun doing it!

ITEMS USED TO CREATE THIS PROJECT...
Protect the surface under and around your project! Wear throwaway clothing!

-Great Stuff Pond and Stone (green can) 7 cans!
-Corkbark (to make branches, shelves, etc.) (dependent on size, as much as you want)
ALLOW THE FOAM TIME TO DRY (24+ hrs) BEFORE PAINTING ON SILICONE

-GE 100% silicone (clear) 3 tubes (you’ll need a calking gun too)
-Mineral Spirits (“oderless”) 1 quart is more than enough
-Bowl (to combine silicone and mineral spirits)
-Straw/stick (to mix silicone and mineral spirits) (you’ll want a thick, yet paintable consistency)
-Paintbrush (to spread the silicone mixture onto the dried foam)
-Forest Floor from ZooMed and Terra Firma from The BioDude (mixed to cover the foam when sticky)
ALLOW THE FOAM TIME TO DRY (24+ hrs) BEFORE ADDING OTHER DECOR

-Repti Rapids LED Waterfall by ZooMed (size medium)
-1 large square plastic flowerpot (to elevate the waterfall) (holes cut for access and viewing inside)
-1 medium rounds plastic flowerpot (to create a groundlevel hide) (trimmed down and a hole for access)
-1 large water dish (for soaking)
-Assorted fake plants (from reptile stores and hobby stores)
-Assorted fake vines (from reptile stores and hobby stores)
-Various small pieces of fake plants (to simulate saplings and young growth)
*holes were drilled into the underside of the enclosure lid to receive fake plant stems and create a “curtain” of security in front of the hot spot perch. Side curtains were added later!
FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR SNAKE, PROPERLY DISINFECT ALL COLLECTED BRANCHES AND LEAVES BEFORE ADDING THEM TO THE ENCLOSURE.

-Drainage layer
-Terra Sahara and Terra Firma substrates from The BioDude (with water added and mixed)
-1 bag each (Live Oak leaves) (Maple leaves)
-3 live plants (select plants that are sturdy will thrive with lighting conditions)
-2 packs of Isopods (1 orange and 1 cow)(10 individuals each)(to live in the substrate)
-1 pack of Springtails (to live in the substrate)
ALLOW THE ISOPODS, SPRINGTAILS, AND PLANTS TIME TO ESTABLISH (1 WEEK+) BEFORE ADDING THE SNAKE
