PRESS RELEASE

SHERIFF JOYE RESPONDS TO YOUTUBE INCIDENT
On Monday, September 12, 2022 we became aware of an incident involving one of our deputies when we received a written complaint from the person arrested and his video was posted on Youtube. We promptly opened an Internal Affairs Investigation which included a review of all known video, including body worn camera video and interviews of the deputies on scene.
The Internal Affairs Investigation determined numerous
FCSO Policy violations during the incident. As a result of the investigation, St. Morrison is no longer employed by the Florence County Sheriffs Office.
The matter has been referred to the 12th Circuit
Solicitor's Office. By way of further transparency, we have met with the individual involved and his attorney and all existing video has been made available in its entirety.
Our agency has conducted training on the handling of First Amendment rights and that training is ongoing.
We will continue to respect the First Amendment rights of the citizens of Florence County and those who travel here.
Sheriff TJ Joye
And this is why it’s important to train police properly in the people’s natural rights.
There are 5 fundamental freedoms under the First Amendment. If this deputy, along with ever other law enforcement officer were properly trained in at least the First Amendment, these types of arrests wouldn’t happen.
Every day people are being unlawfully arrested, and if for some miracle, a lawsuit is settled, guess who pays for it! Not the department nor the deputy, but the people. That’s right folks, when cops mess up, we still pay.
How is this a sustainable system that works for the people? It’s not, it’s a sustainable system that only works for government.
That is tyranny in its purest form.
Recently Sean from Long Island Audits and Brian at Here’s the Deal had a debate on the use of words.
Brian compared American police to the Gestapo but Sean said that the people should stop making such comparisons because it doesn’t help bridge the gap.
A restriction on words is not the American way in my opinion. I believe when cops act like this, they can be compared to the worst of the worst this world has ever seen.
I have to agree with Brian. I don’t believe we should restrict Freedom of Speech, especially when comparing tyrannical behavior from the boys in blue to the Gestapo.
They ask for ID like the Gestapo asked for papers. They surround you and instigate confrontations. They arrest and kill innocent people just about every day.
It seems like every day I wake up, I get an email or notification that a cop killed someone else that didn’t deserve it. And then they get away with it. Take officer Kevin Dave for instance. He was speeding without emergency lights and ran through a cross walk striking and killing Jaahnavi Kandula in Washington. He wasn’t convicted and neither was Daniel Auderer, the cop who made inhumane remarks regarding her death saying she was of limited value!
Does this sound like these cops were just doing their job, like Sean said to Brian.
I had the opportunity to go on the live panel and state my opinion but I decided to elaborate it here. Sean and I have had disagreements before but for some reason, people tend to think I’m the one creating division.
Glad I wasn’t part of their disagreement but stoked I have my own platform to share my thoughts with you.
What are your thoughts regarding the play of words comparing cops to the Gestapo? Should we refrain from using freedom of speech to adhere or coddle police feelings?
With that being said. I wanna thank Pepperoni Audits for standing up against tyrants who behaves like the Gestapo in this video. He hasn’t posted for 2 months so if you guys have a heads up on his well being, let us know. And also make sure to let HIM know we sent you over to his channel.
And that does it for todays video, subscribe hit the bell and the like button, share this in your community posts if possible. We’ll see you on the next video.
Here are my links if you’d like to help further my efforts.
