After playing Homeworld 3 for three weeks now, I finally settled down and created my first ever game review (sort of). I delve into Homeworlds of years past, and the new title, what it does right, and what it does wrong. Though it perhaps comes off more as a rant, hence 'Unfiltered'.
0:00 - Intro
0:30 - Part 1 - What does Homeworld mean to me?
15:51 - Part 2 - Homeworld 3: Lost in Hyperspace
53:12 - Conclusion: An Unfulfilled Promise
Some other things about the game that I dislike, but forgot to mention:
Almost every cutscene where hyperspace is involved shows this stupid spinning animation around Imogen. It got old fast.
Fighters always form formations, and never relinquish them, even if you never told them to form one.
The Mothership selection box is too large/is borked. Selecting units that are close to it will often select the mothership as well. This means you can frequently unintentionally send the Mothership into a combat situation.
A small one, but there is no kamikaze. HW1 and Cata had it, HW2 didn't. HWR brought it back. HW3 dropped it again.
I'm sure I'll think of other things in future, but that's all I've got for now.
