After arriving in Hanoi last night and eating the first of many bowls of pho 🍜, we were soo ready to find a banh mi sandwich in the morning. We found a shop named Bami Bread, also known as Banh Mi Hoi An, near our hostel in the Old Quarter.
We ordered the Hoi An Special Sandwich (#1), the Roast Pork Sandwich (#3), and a Kumquat Tea drink, and... it was THE BEST banh mi's we've tried in Hanoi 😍. It was so good and there were literally no words to describe how tasty and flavorful it was. Best of all, everything came out under $3 USD!! 🤯
To walk off all the yummy banh mi's, we visited the Hoan Kiem Lake located in the historical center of Hanoi. It was the perfect day to go for a stroll ☀️! There were people dancing in the street, kids riding toy cars, and people vibing out on their guitar. There's a small temple in the middle of the lake that you can visit but we passed on that because there were TONS of people. We suggest that you go as early as possible to avoid the crowds 💡.
For dinner, we decided to try bun cha, which is a popular Vietnamese dish that actually originated in Hanoi. It was served with grilled barbecue meats, rice noodles, veggies and herbs, and a dipping sauce 🤤. They had a special combo which included spring rolls and we also ordered some Hanoi beers. Our entire meal was the same price as one bowl of pho back in New York, which is crazy 🤯! FYI - this restaurant (Bun Cha Dac Kim) does so well that there are a few restaurants that have opened with the same name on the same street. To get to the right one, we've listed the address below 👇!
We spent the rest of the night at Binh Minh Jazz Club 🎷 for some awesome jazz accompanied by a few drinks. All the musicians and singers were fantastic! The best thing is, there is no cover however, the drinks can be pricey for Hanoi's standards. It's still definitely worth visiting because you'll have an amazing time.
Stay tuned for our next video where we show you all the best places to eat in Hanoi! Thanks for watching ❤️
