There are many different opinions about the ability to upgrade the CPU and RAM on Alienware R10 Ryzen edition PCs. Today we will get to the bottom of this. (Turn captions on for important info or read below)

Those interested in upgrading 5000 series CPUs, take the below as a word of caution. Even though they say you can below but many people that have tried have had issues even after updating the bios to the latest version. It appears the AGESA version has not been updated with any bios versions DELL has released, but I will revisit this when I purchase a 5000 series CPU for my Corsair PC in the future.

According to Dells own specifications on their website, 5000 series CPUs can be used with the Motherboard which contains a b550a chipset however some have stated this cannot work. [ Ссылка ]
