Wednesday could make day three hitting 90 degrees or above in Southern New England, meaning our second possible heat wave of the season.
Near-90 degree temperatures develop away from the coastline with heat indices reaching near 100 degrees. Partly cloudy skies and breezy, cooler conditions in the low to middle 80s at the beaches are expected.
Our Weather Alert is twofold today with some storms firing up, mainly after the sun goes down.
Overnight, scattered showers and storms are possible, potentially bringing some heavy downpours, thunder and lightning, but a low risk of severe weather southeast of the Providence metro area due to the later timing of the storms.
