Our McCandles Family Reunion show LIVE from the Cowboy Channel Justin Boots studio as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the release of Big Jake (1971). We were lucky to have Patrick Wayne, Ethan Wayne, and Chris Mitchum with a live studio audience.

The three actors reflect on their time on set and take questions from the studio audience.

Patrick Wayne discusses John Wayne’s presence on set and his work ethic, how John Wayne won the Dog from the film in a poker game, and working with his brothers and dad on the film. Chris Mitchum discusses the casting process and how he was honored when Duke asked him to play his son. Ethan Wayne remembers taking directions from his dad as an 8 year old on set.

This is a really fun episode and we were so lucky to get these three actors together to celebrate this great John Wayne film!
