The Sling 4 place aircraft currently has 2 different models; the first generation Sling 4 which uses a 115 hp turbo charged engine, and the second generation Sling Tsi which uses a 141 hp turbo charged engine.
At first glance, both these airplanes are identical. You are practically looking at the same exact airplane. At least you would think that. But the new Sling TSi is a completely new redesigned model. More beefed up in some areas, and slimmed down to be more aerodynamic in others. And you’ll here Barry talk about these differences in the video.
For example:
- The new Sling tsi has new set of slimmer wings as compared to the Sling 4
- The new Sling Tsi also has a set of new wheel pants that allows for less drag
- Speaking of drag, also new is flushed pivots around the aircraft
- Another big difference is the new Rotax 915 in the Sling Tsi. You have 22% more horse power but a lot more gains in speed and climb performance in the Sling TSi
