Russian President Vladimir Putin is "daring NATO" to respond after Moscow launched one of its deadliest airstrikes on Kyiv, says a former U.S. ambassador to Russia.
In broad daylight on Monday, Moscow unleashed a missile barrage on Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities, reports Reuters. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that at least 37 people, including three children, were killed, and over 170 were injured.
The attacks destroyed Ukraine's main children's hospital, Okhmatdyt, and missiles also hit Kryvyi Rih, Dnipro, and the Donetsk region, according to Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Igor Klymenko.
Peter Cardwell speaks with political commentator Robert Taylor on what the consequences of Putin’s actions means for European security.
