Here's another demo of the SS-R100 as I record from a mini-disc onto a USB stick. I selected the .mp3 mode of recording, but 16bit @ 48Khz .wav format is also available. The SS-R100 was recently updated to the latest firmware, v1.32 which allows you to monitor the incoming signal without having to first install a media card. This was not possible on some older firmware versions. The song is an original composition, based on an old TV show's theme song. "The Banana Splits" were a Saturday morning show that was about big animals running around doing zany stuff. I recall there being a dog and a gorilla and a couple others. Along with that they also had some cartoons. It was a Hanna-Barberra production so some of those type cartoons showed up. Anyway, All the instruments in this song were played by myself, except the drums, which I programmed a simple beat on a Roland R-70. All guitar and bass guitar processing was done through a Digitech DHP-55.
Here is a link to the original Banana Splits theme song and you'll notice the resemblance immediately.
