Hi, I’m Eric Dunaway here with MR Direct Sinks and Faucets. Today we’ll take a look at one of our most popular sink materials - porcelain. If you’re in the market for a new bathroom sink, lets go over some of the key benefits of porcelain.
Our porcelain sinks are made from a mixture of clay that’s triple-glazed and then triple-fired in the kiln at about 2,000 °F. The result is called vitreous china, which is a waterproof material with a smooth and glossy surface. It’s also far more durable than fine china.
Porcelain is a practical material for everyday use, and has various benefits. It’s non-porous, so the sinks are easy to clean, and they won’t stain or retain odor. When installed and used properly, our sinks are durable enough to last for decades. Porcelain is also affordable and comes in a variety of shapes, colors, and mounting styles. In select models, our MR Direct porcelain sinks are available in white, black, and bisque.
