Women play a fundamental and invaluable role in developing thriving communities and economies.
Yet, they continue to face major obstacles to access quality education, which is essential for them to develop and express their potential. This has been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw millions interrupt their studies as a result of school closures. Without education, other barriers to gender equality, ranging from work, to health and well-being, are much harder to break through.
