Some helpful tips for making Japanese curry in this particular model. Heat the oil up with the lid on so you can use the cook function. Toss in the onions and sauté. Pop the lid back on and hit cook, so the oil can get hot once more. When you toss in the carrots, there should be enough weight in the rice cooker to use the cook function with the lid off. Proceed as you normally would or written on the curry roux box. you wanna keep an eye on things as you’re cooking the ingredients b/c it can and WILL spill over. speaking from experience
