The unfortunate history of Yellowcard, one of the most legendary pop-punk bands of all time, who throughout their 2 decade career toured relentlessly (co-headlining with other big bands such as All Time Low, New Found Glory and Good Charlotte), released over 10 albums, had about a dozen different members including Ben Dobson, Ryan Key, Sean Mackin, Ryan Mendez, Longineau Parsons, Ben Harper... were huge on the warped tour circuit, headlined stages at festivals and more!
However they did face some adversity, so today we are talking about the unfortunate and strange career of Yellowcard, including:
Ryan Key potentially not getting along with Ben Harper and Sean Mackin
The reason behind their break up and their hiatus
Paper Walls and Lights and Sounds not performing nearly as well as Ocean Avenue, which was a legendary album including the hits Way Away, Only One, Believe, Breathing and Empty Apartment.
Signing with Capitol Records and leaving a few years later.
Sean Mackin becoming a car salesman
Ben Harper being kicked out during a promotional cycle and more!
Needles to sy though, Yellowcard had an incredible career and not many punk rock or pop punk bands can say they have had a similar level of success - with that many banging songs (Here I Am Alive, Hang You Up, For You And Your Denial, Always Summer etc) and that many successful tours / sold out concerts.
