Two approaches to correct a worn out mouse button microswitch spring that causes the unwanted double click effect. It can also be the cause no click at all. Or of the click and drag effect where you click on a window to drag it and it let's go prematurely while the button is still depressed down. One approach requires no soldering, and the other does. Both approaches are shown.
As a bonus the mouse feet, or skates, are upgraded with Hotline Games brand competition mouse skates. I illustrate this repair using the Logitech G700, but it should be the same for the G700S or nearly any other Logitech brand mouse.
The switch used in the Logitech G700 is made by Omron and will be either a D2FC-F-7N or D2FC-F-7N(10M). Either will work just fine but you should replace with the same number as original if you can. The (10M) is a life rating on the spring, for 10 million clicks, for example. I only had the 7N, which is only 5M rated on hand and it'll be fine too. *Post repair update:* The double click problem is completely cured and I'm further very happy with the Hotline Games Mouseskates I went with. A super slick and high quality upgrade.
