Commonly people mistake heart attack, heart failure and cardiac arrest. Heart attack is nothing but a sudden occlusion of a coronary artery resulting in severe chest pain, perspiration and muscle damage and resultant complications. Heart failure is a situation where either because of the uncontrolled hypertension or diabetes or a severe heart attack the heart muscle becomes weak, heart is unable to pump and person suffers from breathlessness, swelling of the leg. Cardiac arrest is the ultimate of cardiac problems where the heart becomes stand still, not beating or may be beating at a very fast heart rate called as ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation. This is a very life threatening problem.
