Musei Vaticani pronti a ricevere un ospite speciale: da Torino arriva infatti il faraone Amenhotep II. Una prima volta assoluta per la statua in granito rosa del sovrano, che mai prima d’ora ha lasciato il suo trono nella Galleria dei Re.
“Collezioni in dialogo. Un capolavoro del Museo Egizio di Torino raccontato dai Musei Vaticani” è il nome dell’evento di avvio del nuovo progetto espositivo promosso dai Musei Vaticani, in tandem con le più importanti istituzioni museali nazionali ed internazionali, con l’intento di creare preziose e reciproche occasioni di dialogo, confronto, ricerca e crescita scientifica. Non poteva che essere il Museo Egizio a Torino - che già da più di quattro anni è in “dialogo” e in collaborazione con i “Musei del Papa” - il primo autorevole interlocutore di questa nuova iniziativa.
Il faraone Amenhotep II accoglierà i visitatori all’ingresso del Museo Gregoriano Egizio dal 4 dicembre 2018 al 30 giugno 2019.

The pharaoh Amenhotep II will greet visitors at the entrance of the Gregorian Egyptian Museum from 4 December 2018 to 30 June 2019.
