In this episode, we look at our architectural talk with Vinu Daniel, founder of Wallmakers, an architecture firm based in India that aims to build sustainable spaces that are responsive to specific site contexts and conditions, while maintaining a balance between innovative, utilitarian designs. Vinu Daniel has had numerous recognitions and highlights including his TED talk on 'The beauty of building with mud and trash' . He devotes his energies towards the cause of sustainable and cost-effective architecture.
For Part 1 we discuss about Chuzhi, a project having the concept of Camouflage architecture, and which is fashioned from 4000 discarded plastic bottles. The design helps to understand what can be built in odd sites that are generally deemed ‘unsuitable’ for construction.
