Synopsis: Lin Chunping, a young woman from Longshan, boards a train to escape an arranged marriage, planning to seek refuge with her uncle. On the train, she unexpectedly meets Mayor Liu and his young driver, Yang Ding. Sympathizing with Chunping's plight, Yang Ding gives her his home address before parting ways. Upon arrival, Chunping finds her uncle has left for Hainan for work, leaving her no choice but to seek help from Yang Ding. Yang Ding persuades his mother to take Chunping in and helps her secure a job as a storekeeper at the fireworks factory where his father, Yang Wenjie, is the director. Encouraged by Li Jing, the head of the industrial bureau, Chunping decides to run for the position of factory director.
