Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf located in the closest star system to our solar system, Alpha Centauri. Although it is a much smaller and fainter star than the Sun, it has been found to have a rocky planet in its habitable zone, known as Proxima b.
Proxima b is a potentially habitable planet since its temperature could allow liquid water on its surface. Plus, it´s about the same size as the Earth!
Although no evidence of life has yet been found on Proxima b, its discovery has raised the possibility of finding life on other planets.
