Should you get a 4-blade prop? Most boats start with a 3-blade prop, but with the right set of circumstances and the way in which you use your boat, a 4-blade prop may be a better fit.

While a 3-blade prop offers less drag and the potential for more speed, the 4-blade prop offers more bite and lower RPMs, giving you more confidence and control in rough water as well as greater capacity to push boats with more payload-- like a second live well or a water tank-- through the water with greater efficiency.
