The Polaroid One Step "Rainbow" was intruduced in the early seventies by Polaroid as a consumer camera featuring a fixed focus plastic lens. This one was also launched as the Polaroid 1000 camera in the UK.
This camera was really popular in household and as a everyday camera. Its sort of pop design has made it a classic amongst the Polaroid enthusiasts and its considered as a "must have".
Some of the technical specifications are the following:
1 element plastic lens with fixed aperture (103mm, f14.6)
•4ft minimum focus distance.
•exposure compensation dial around electric eye
•Uses Polaroid SX-70 film. This type of film cartridge can be found online on Amazon, eBay and The Impossible Project, which has a variety of film for this camera.
This particular one is the Sears Special Edition, and as you can assume was a edition made for Sears stores exclusively and features a bit darker color body, sort of a beige versus the almost white color of the regular Rainbow or Polaroid 1000.
