I have both the Tumbleweed Worm Café and the Tumbleweed Can O’ Worms three level stacking worm farms, both of which live outdoors year-round. However, through the cooler months, we bring bins that are closest to being finished indoors. This allows the bin to receive warmer, consistent temperatures to finish up completely and allows me to do the harvest in the comfort of my home. When I brought Itsy and Fuzzy indoors, however, I noticed the level of the vermicompost had dropped quite a bit. So, I decided to stir in some of my 12 month old leaf mold to boost up the volume. Some worms came along with the leaf mold — bonus!
