What Happened When A Lightsaber Crystal Came Into Contact With Project Blackwing?


Project Blackwing was a failed Sith immortality experiment that was accidentally released upon an imperial research facility. Upon being bitten by a victim of project Blackwing, the individual would soon become engrossed in powerful hallucinations of a mouth exploding from their chest. Soon after their gruesome death, the blackwing would take over their nervous system, with the body being added into a coordinated hive mind similar to the flood from the halo franchise. Almost every species of plant, animal and sentient being was susceptible to project blackwing, with lightsaber crystals also being affected by them. When the blackwing project fused with the lightsaber crystal, the blade would become dark black in colouration, emitting a ploom of smoke when ignited.
