Rogue legacy is made by cellar- door games, it’s a plat-former indie, action, RPG and is known for its rogue-like aspects. As for writing the game is 7 years old being released in 2013 on June 28th – the following game-play was taken on the Nintendo switch
Let’s begin with what the game did poorly, it’s fair and few but it’s what the people generally agree to online – the controls, to begin with are clanky and could take awhile to get used too. The Artificial parts of the level is just rude – the risk factor feels okay until your vs the bosses, then from slow and steady to a bullet hell. This changes the pace a lot. You also keep getting backpack upgrades even though the char is maxed out; you could cheese the game by going to the 3rd of 4th zones rather early which lets you buy the upgrades rather quick.
However, every other aspect of the game is a joy to play – and even more fun when you die to something you know you could’ve avoided. The cartoon-esque style will make you sad when you die; but happy when you get to play as the characters offspring. Even though the bosses are a bit out of the way and a bit harder then the games pace – it just works so well – beating those bosses either through being so overly geared where you could slap them into oblivion or having a dragged out duel is heart-racing and one of the biggest bonus’ of this game. If you don’t cheese it, the game has a good sense of progression.
Plugging this game into the value meter: I give it a definite buy. If you want some game-play footage watch a video called northern lion; he made a game-play footage long ago and it’s held the test of time.

Again: This game is worth buying, owning for yourself - and even comparing your progress with a friend.
