Seven from the Hudson Valley were arrested following a prostitution and drug investigation. On Thursday, City of Middletown Police, along with State Police, Homeland security and the FBI conducted a specialized enforcement detail targeting street level narcotics and prostitution-related offenses. In total 7 were arrested. 5 for prostitution and 1 for patronizing a person for prostitution. 6 are from Orange County 1, Sullivan.

A former Yankee legend is selling pricey property in Orange County. Derek Jeter has put up a castle he bought 15 years-ago in Greenwood Lake. The so-called "Tiedemann Castle" includes a six-foot stone wall, a turret, an infinity pool, and a small Statue of Liberty replica. The listing says the home has six bedrooms, twelve bathrooms, and four kitchens. Jeter is asking for nearly 15-million-dollars.

Police are urging residents to be on the lookout for rattlesnakes after two were spotted near Hudson Valley homes over the weekend. One was by a swimming pool at a home in Rockland County and the other on the front walkway of a home. Police say both were safely moved to a less populated area. Officials say timber rattlesnakes are the largest venomous snakes in the state and that their bite can be deadly, although they won't attack unless provoked.

A Hudson Valley man died in an apparent double-suicide. Police in Pennsylvania found a tent just off the road after responding to reports of a suspicious car. Inside the tent, police found 22-year-old Robert Knapp of Walden and a 43-year-old woman dead. Police say they found a handwritten note and drug paraphernalia which indicated the two died from what's believed to be an intentional drug overdose.

Turns out, the dangerous plant is found in New York, including all over the Hudson Valley. The plant's sap prevents your skin from protecting itself from sunlight which leads to a very bad sunburn. Heat and moisture, like sweat, worsen your skin's reaction. The plant can grew up to 14 feet and features white flower heads.
