This is a fantastic way to make a tetrahedron from a strip of paper. Take a strip of paper 28-cm long and 4-cm wide. The strip should be white on one side and black on the other. Fold the strip in half and then tape both the ends to make a circular loop. Flatten the loop with the joint on one end. The strip will be folded in half. Fold it on the midline to divide it into quarters. There will be four rectangles each 7-cm x 4-cm. Fold the diagonal with a scale. Open and crease the diagonal both ways.
Now unfold the strip and open it like a boat. As you bring the edges together you will be surprised to see that it has become a black TETRAHEDRON. A tetrahedron is a very special structure – it is a triangular pyramid.
You can upturn the loop so that the outside becomes white. Once again you can fold it into a tetrahedron. But this time it will be a white tetrahedron.
